Ovation Group Pty Ltd (OVATION) are the service provider responsible for the delivery of the following services into your apartment.

Electricity;
Hot Water; and
Internet

A couple of things to Note:

There is no gas delivered to 10 Lilydale Grove Hawthorn East. Your cooktops are electric. There is no need to request the connection of gas by a retail service provider.
OVATION does provide you with Hot Water but is not responsible for arranging your connection for cold water. You will need to contact the local water authority for connection.

Electricity has been delivered by an Embedded Electricity Network and Hot Water is being delivered by a rooftop mounted Centralised Hot Water System. Internet services are powered by Bcomm^TM. OVATION is a Bcomm^TM Retail Service Provider (RSP). Information about embedded networks is included.

OVATION’s goal is to offer Hassle Free Connections

For all services, OVATION encourage you to complete the application form 24 business hours in advance and specify your move-in date to allow us to prioritise connection of services. We aim to be hassle free and can connect quickly, but when you move-in you want electricity and hot water so best to plan in advance.

On settlement, for all OVATION delivered services, OVATION will make sure all your services will be connected. You have no first-time connection charges if they have been paid during the property settlement process. However, you do need to enter into a service supply agreement.

Why are OVATION responsible for the Electricity, Hot Water and Internet?

This site is powered by Embedded Networks. Embedded Networks allow the dwelling occupiers to take control of the services coming into the site and run it locally. Embedded Networks provide greater control of the sites infrastructure and, most importantly, allow OVATION to deliver services at a cheaper rate than would otherwise be possible. OVATION has been elected by the Owners Corporation to be the current operator of the Embedded Networks

What are the benefits for the site?

Greater control of site infrastructure for future expansions, whether that be on site solar panels, battery storage, electric vehicle charging, etc.
Improved ability to service tenants electrical upgrade needs in the future.
The electricity is purchased in bulk and on-sold to the tenants at a cheaper rate than would otherwise be possible.
Reduced Owners Corporate running costs as the Internet service is delivered over fibre.
Commercial grade Internet services with lower contentions means faster and better Internet.
OVATION provide the full warranty and support for the electricity meters and solar (PV) system that is mounted on the roof for 10 years.

Can I change energy retailers?

For Electricity

After the development has been completed the electricity meter will be registered with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and Essential Services Victoria (ESV). After approximately 90 days a NMI number will be issued by AER.

Once the AER has been issued Ovation support the freedom of choice legislation which enables you to seek the supply of electricity from another retailer.

Not all electricity retailers offer pricing in an embedded network however you most certainly have the right to choose your electricity retailer. Some electricity retailers may request you installed a new electricity meter adding to the cost of a new service connection and delays in supply of electricity to your new home.

OVATION aim to offer competitive usage rates and simplified connection processes. Our rates are lower than the Victorian Default Offer (VDO).

For Hot Water

OVATION has been elected by the Owners Corporation to be the current operator of the Embedded Networks. OVATION is the sole retailer who can supply hot water to your apartment using the centralized hot water service.

You always have the right to install a separate hot water system to your dwelling. OVATION can provide you details of a single phase electric hot water service that may be used. However, the building has been fitted with a centralized hot water system using technology that is one of the most efficient available – the technology used is typically used in larger commercial developments.

If you were to install your own separate hot water system, aside from the capital cost, it would cost you more to operate than the usage charges supplied by using the OVATION delivered hot water.

For Internet

OVATION is currently the sole Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the dwelling. Additional service providers are being introduced by Bcomm^TM.

So do you have to use OVATION of Internet? The short answer is no. But why not give OVATION a try?

Why?

OVATION has provided competitive Bcomm^TM Internet plans to assist with streamlining the connection of services to your new home or business; and
Residential dwellings have been connected to Bcomm^TM Internet for 1 month after settlement for free.

If you want OVATION to connect all services then choose your plan from the options listed. Otherwise, if you do not choose a plan, OVATION will only connect electricity and hot water.
